Product Description
The 48V 60Ah AMR Battery uses fifteen series cells, giving a nominal 48.0V supply and a 54.75V upper-charge reference. That voltage architecture is the first compatibility check for an AMR controller or dock. The 60Ah reserve can then be compared with route energy and charging opportunities. CAN or RS485 selection includes protocol and signal mapping, not just a connector choice.

Dock Charging
A 48V LiFePO4 robot battery with dock charging requires charger, contact, interlock and safe-disconnect review. Automatic charging adds mechanical and control requirements that do not exist with a simple manual charger. Contact alignment, charge-enable logic and safe disconnect behavior must work reliably during repeated docking events. New Journey therefore treats the dock, charger, battery and robot controller as one integration path so the sample can be evaluated under the same conditions expected in fleet operation.
BMS and Communication
An AMR battery pack needs protocol-level CAN or RS485 matching for SOC, current, temperature, alarms and fault response. Matching means confirming bitrate or baud rate, message IDs or register maps, scaling, heartbeat and fault logic for the target robot. A port labeled CAN or RS485 is only the hardware starting point. For OEM and replacement programs, the communication file should be included with the inquiry so New Journey can assess mapping work before the customer commits to a production sample.
Enclosure and Service Access
A 48V mobile robot battery is approved from battery-bay size, mounting, connector direction, cable route and service clearance. These mechanical details determine whether the pack can be installed, removed and serviced without stressing cables or blocking adjacent components. New Journey therefore releases the final enclosure only after the robot drawing or existing battery evidence is reviewed. This project-specific approach is especially useful where the AMR already has a fixed chassis and battery access path.
Check the dock-to-battery interface
Record charging contacts, communication requirements and service disconnect access with the robot model. Capacity acceptance should reflect the agreed current and temperature, while voltage checks should cover the operating window used by the controller.

FAQ
Can CAN or RS485 be matched?
Yes, after bitrate / baud rate, mapping and fault behavior are confirmed.
What needs checking before using an existing AMR charger?
The upper-charge reference is 54.75V for the 15S arrangement, with the final charging profile confirmed by project. A charging-current limit has not been fixed here. Provide the charger output specification and connection details so both can be matched to the selected BMS.
Does 2.88kWh establish a full AMR shift?
No. The 48.0V, 60Ah reference gives 2.88kWh nominal energy. Shift duration also depends on payload, travel and idle periods, auxiliary loads and opportunity charging. Use a recorded duty cycle to evaluate the usable energy needed between charging stops.
Will this 48V pack replace any other 48V AMR battery?
Not automatically. This reference is 48.0V nominal; another battery in the same sales class can have a different operating window. Check the AMR controller’s upper and lower voltage limits before approving the replacement, as well as the protocol requirements discussed above.
