Frequently asked questions
What battery products does New Journey offer?
Our current catalogue covers drone battery packs, motive power batteries, embedded battery packs and individual battery cells. Choose a product family first, then compare the model specifications. A cell and a finished battery pack require different integration work.
Which applications are covered by the catalogue?
The catalogue includes UAV and FPV batteries, as well as packs for forklifts, golf carts, scooters, motorcycles, AGVs, AMRs, delivery robots and RVs. Embedded packs are grouped by voltage and construction. An application label helps narrow the search but does not confirm compatibility with a particular machine.
How should I choose between LiFePO4 and other lithium-ion batteries?
Start with the equipment voltage window, charging system, load and available space. Different chemistries have different voltage limits and performance characteristics. Compare the specified weight, current capability and cycle-test conditions of the actual models rather than choosing by chemistry name alone.
Is the voltage in the product name enough to select a battery?
No. Check nominal voltage, maximum charge voltage and discharge limits against the equipment and charger. A marketing voltage class can differ from the precise nominal voltage. Use the model specification for the electrical design and resolve any conflicting values before ordering.
Does every battery include a BMS?
Do not assume so. Protection and monitoring depend on the model. Some UAV packs use main power leads and balance leads with external charging and monitoring, while equipment and traction packs may include a protection board or BMS. Confirm the supplied functions and interfaces for the selected pack.
Which battery details can be reviewed for a custom project?
Send the voltage, capacity target, continuous and peak load, enclosure limits and connector requirements. Cell selection, protection, wiring, communication, labelling and packaging can then be reviewed for feasibility. The quotation should identify the agreed configuration and any development work.
What should I send for a battery quotation?
Send the product model or equipment drawing, voltage range, capacity or operating-time target, current profile, size and weight limits, connector details, quantity and destination. If you are replacing a pack, include photographs of its label and connections and the charger specification.
Can I request a sample before a volume order?
Send the model and the tests you intend to run. We can confirm sample availability, the configuration, price and delivery arrangement before you place the order. Use the approved sample specification as the reference for the subsequent production order.
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ depends on the selected model and the extent of customisation. A change to the enclosure, cell, electronics or printed packaging can affect the minimum quantity. Send the model and expected order volume for an itemised quotation.
How is the delivery time confirmed?
Delivery is scheduled after the specification, quantity and order terms are agreed. Material availability, sample validation and transport arrangements can affect the date. The quotation or order confirmation should state the lead time for your configuration.
Can the batteries carry our company logo?
Include the authorised artwork and label requirements with your enquiry. We will review the available label area and the model information that must remain visible. Printing, packaging and any custom enclosure requirements should be agreed before sample approval.
How many cycles will the battery last?
Use the cycle-life figure and test conditions for the exact model. Depth of discharge, current, temperature, charge limits and the end-of-life capacity criterion all matter. A cycle figure for one cell or pack cannot be transferred to the entire catalogue.
Can the battery be charged and discharged in cold conditions?
Check separate charging and discharging temperature limits in the model specification. Permission to discharge at a low temperature does not mean charging is allowed there. Confirm any low-temperature charging protection or heating function for the ordered configuration.
How should an unused battery be stored?
Follow the model’s storage instructions for state of charge, temperature and inspection intervals. Disconnect it from the load where the equipment instructions permit, protect the terminals and keep it away from heat and moisture. Do not assume one storage voltage applies to every chemistry.
Can I reuse my existing battery charger?
Only if it matches the new battery’s chemistry, series count, charge-voltage limit, allowed charge current and connector polarity. Communication or temperature-sensing requirements may also apply. Send the charger label and connection details for a compatibility check.
Can I connect finished battery packs in series or parallel?
Only use a configuration expressly supported by the pack specification and system design. BMS limits, voltage differences, protection and charging arrangements need review. Do not combine unmatched packs or assume that batteries with the same nominal voltage can be connected directly.
What test and compliance documents can you provide?
Tell us the exact model, destination and intended use. We will check which reports and declarations are available for that configuration and identify any additional work needed. A brochure listing a standard does not establish that every battery is covered.
Can the same report cover different capacities or configurations?
Coverage must be checked against the report’s model list and construction details. Changes to cells, series or parallel arrangement, protection electronics or enclosure may affect applicability. Request the document that corresponds to the product you intend to order.
How will the batteries be shipped?
The shipping arrangement depends on the battery configuration, quantity, route and carrier acceptance. Packaging and transport documentation must be checked for the actual consignment. Ask for the available delivery options and costs when the order configuration is confirmed.
Can I specify the cell model or brand?
State the exact cell model if it is part of your design. Availability, electrical limits and pack construction need to be reviewed before it is included in the quotation. Any substitution should be agreed in writing and evaluated against the approved specification.
What should be included in an acceptance test?
Agree the inspection plan for the model and application before ordering. Relevant checks can include appearance, dimensions, polarity, voltage, capacity under specified conditions and the configured protection or communication functions. Ask which test records will accompany your order.
Can we arrange a company or production-site review?
Send the review scope and the company or production location you wish to verify. Any site visit is subject to confirmation by the operator. The confirmation should identify the legal entity, address and documents available for review.
What should I do if a battery swells, overheats or is damaged?
Stop using and charging it. Do not open, puncture or try to repair it. Keep people away from a hot, leaking or smoking battery and follow local emergency guidance if there is immediate danger. Contact the supplier for the next steps when it is safe to do so.
How do I request after-sales support?
Provide the order number, battery model, serial or batch number, a description of the issue and safe-to-obtain photographs. Charger details and operating records may help identify the cause. Warranty coverage and the remedy are assessed against the agreed order terms.
Which certificate applies to my battery?
Match the model and configuration to the original document. XZT-33140-15Ah records cover that specific model. Supplier assessment, safety data, product testing and shipping identification serve different purposes. The 2025 air and sea reports in our archive have expired.
