New Journey's drone battery catalogue brings together UAV and FPV packs with different capacities and series counts. Start with the electrical limits of your aircraft, then compare the weight, dimensions and discharge requirements of the available models.
Find the right starting point
UAV Batteries includes packs for projects where mission energy, payload and installation space need to be assessed together. FPV Drone Batteries focuses the comparison on aircraft handling and power demand. The category names organise the catalogue; each aircraft still requires a model-level compatibility check.
From a shortlist to a flight evaluation
Provide the aircraft's battery limits, expected payload, current profile and charger details. Review the main and balance connections before selecting a sample. Ground testing should establish electrical compatibility before a controlled flight evaluation measures performance under the intended mission conditions.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose a UAV battery pack?
Start with the aircraft's approved series count and voltage range. Then compare pack weight, dimensions, usable energy, sustained load and peak demand. Check the connector and charging arrangement. A ground test and a controlled flight evaluation are needed before adopting a replacement pack.
Can 6S batteries with different nominal voltages use the same charge setting?
Not automatically. The series count does not identify the permitted cell charge voltage. Use the exact pack's chemistry and maximum charge voltage, and confirm the charger's supported battery programme. Do not infer a high-voltage charge setting from the capacity or the connector.
Are the main power lead and balance lead interchangeable?
No. On packs with separate balance leads, the main lead carries the specified power current and the balance lead exposes cell-group voltages for supported monitoring or charging equipment. Follow the pack pinout and charger instructions. Connector colour or shape alone does not establish the wiring.
